SP#6 Unit K Concept 10: Writing a repeating decimal as a rational number

We have been learning about finding terms in arithmetic, geometric, infinite, and finite sequences. In Unit K Concept 10, we learned about repeating decimals as rational numbers. I am showing you a more complex problem, since it has a whole number in the front. We will be using the geometric sequence formula. If you follow my steps you will find it pretty easy and understandable.

In the first step you will see my problem, which is 2.565656. Since the decimal is the 100th place, then "a sub 1" is 56/100. And the ratio is 1/100. The you will plug it in the Summation form. The Summation for will help you define the answers that you have found. Next is solving for the sum, using the geometric form. It will be simple division with fractions. That will get your sum.
